Larry L. Snedeker

Larry Lee Snedeker, 82, of Uhrichsville, passed away on Friday, December 3, 2021, at Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville, following a brief illness. Born November 6, 1939 in Freeport, he was a son of the late John William and Dorothy Lee (Barrett) Snedeker.

Larry will be deeply missed by his surviving family which includes his son, Eric Snedeker; granddaughter, Sidnee Snedeker; sisters, Donna Brick, Jean Bardall, and Linda (Terry) Scott; brother, Paul (Linda) Snedeker; many nieces and nephews; and dear friend, Mallisa Moreland. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Donella Snedeker and Dorothy “Dottie” Gray; brother, Robert Snedeker; and former spouse, Debbie (Rearic) Snedeker.

A lifelong area resident, Larry served his country in the U.S. Army, followed by 10 years in the Army Reserves in the late 50s and early 60s. He retired from Superior Clay after 37 years of employment as a kiln foreman, having previously worked for Maurer Brothers Plumbing. In retirement, he loved spending time at Rod’s Donut Shop in Uhrichsville and people watching at New Towne Mall. He was a longtime member of Grace United Methodist Church in Uhrichsville.

According to Larry’s wishes, he will be cremated without a public visitation. He will be interred with his parents and brother in Greenmont Cemetery in Freeport.
