Larry L. Sciarini

Larry L. Sciarini, 73, of the Wainwright area of New Philadelphia, Ohio, passed away suddenly on Friday, July 15, 2011 at Union Hospital in Dover, Ohio. Born January 3, 1938 in Wainwright, he was a son of the late Mono Louis and Jean Agnes (Flor) Sciarini.

Larry was a lifelong resident of Wainwright who had worked at the former Bonvechio’s Restaurant for a number of years. He loved taking care of the home that he shared with his sister, especially doing the lawn and gardening work. Larry was happiest when he was outside, going for long walks and chatting with his many friends and neighbors. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in New Philadelphia and had previously been a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church in Wainwright until its closing.

His surviving family includes his sister, Maxine J. Riley with whom he had resided; a niece, Jean Evans and her husband, Jerry, of Wainwright; a great nephew, Kyler Evans of Wainwright; and cousins, Anita and Mike Heys, Jerry Sciarini, Nadine Goodman, and Paula and Nick Vasu, along with their families; as well as many dear friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his uncle and aunt, Dante and Helen Sciarini, and a cousin, Natalie Sciarini.

Services for Larry, officiated by Father Jeff Coning, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 19, in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home at Dennison. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery in New Philadelphia. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Those wishing to honor his memory by a charitable contribution may do so to the charity of their choice.
