Larry Edward McCue, 82, of Uhrichsville, passed away while surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, September 4, 2018, at Claymont Health and Rehabilitation Center in Uhrichsville. Born August 5, 1936 in Dennison, he was a son of the late Leslie Spearl and Ruth Irene (Hilligas) McCue.

Larry was a lifelong Dennison resident with the exception of the years when he proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps in the mid 50’s as a photographer. He was a longtime member of Park Christian Church. Larry retired from Dover Tank and Plate in 2001 after 39 years of employment and was a member of Boilermakers Union Local #744. He was an avid genealogist who, along with his wife, was awarded the 2012 Tuscarawas County Historical Society Zeisberger-Heckewelder Award and the 2015 Tuscarawas County Genealogical Society Service Award.

On November 17, 1957, Larry married the former Joe Ann Lester who survives him along with their children, Robin (Ray) Beckett, L. Ed. (Sherry) McCue Jr., Les (Liz) McCue, Tammy (David) Fellers, and Connie (Brian) Hillyer; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren with another expected; and a great-great-grandson. He is also survived by his brother, Don (Cathy) McCue, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 5 brothers and 3 sisters.

Services, officiated by Pastor Scot Caley, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 7, at Park Christian Church in Dennison. Interment will follow in Ridgecrest Memory Gardens in Dover. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Park Christian Church and Crossroads Hospice.
