Kris A. Walk

Kris Alan Walk, 56, of Uhrichsville, passed away at his home on April 7, 2015 after being diagnosed with multiple myeloma in 2004. Born November 13, 1958 in Sterling, Illinois, he was a son of the late Gerald Edward Walk and Vioda Virgene (Erb) Geyer of Dennison.

Kris attended Claymont Schools until his senior year and then graduated from the Orville High School class of 1976. He then did a 4 year Tool and Die Apprenticeship before working for Gradall and other local hydraulic shops. Kris enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a gun and truck enthusiast, and he also raised Labrador Retrievers.

On August 14, 1982 he married the former Karen Sue Patterson who preceded him in death on July 15, 2006. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his daughter, Katelyn M. “Katie” (companion, Daniel Polilli) Walk; brothers, Larry, Tim, and Brad Walk; sisters, Julie Walk and Jenny Shamel; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Kris’s wishes, he has been cremated without a public visitation. A graveside service, officiated by Pastor Dale Ickes, will be held on Wednesday, April 15, at 11:00 a.m. in Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery where he will be interred with his beloved wife.
