Kirsten Blair Carpenter, 11, a soft angel that touched everyone’s heart, was called home to Heaven on Friday, April 17, 2009 from Alliance Community Hospital.
Born July 22, 1997 in Canton, O., she was a daughter of Dale E. and Meghan B. (Cross) Carpenter and had been a resident of Alliance for all her life.
Kirsten was dearly loved by her family and all who knew her. Her surviving family, in addition to her parents, includes her grandparents, Kenneth Carpenter, Richard Carpenter and Kathy Cross, as well as many aunts and uncles, including Joshua Cross, and numerous cousins.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Karen Sue Carpenter, and her maternal grandfather, Richard Cross.
Services for Kirsten, officiated by Pastor Jerry Hart, will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 19, in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison, O. Interment will be beside her grandmother in Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery with a graveside service held at a later date.
Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday. Those wishing to honor Kirsten’s memory are encouraged to do so in support of research for Mitochondrial Disorder in care of Dr. Bruce Cohen at The Cleveland Clinic, 9500 Euclid Ave., Cleveland, OH 44195.
