Kenneth Dene Garabrandt

Kenneth Dene Garabrandt, 71, of Uhrichsville, Ohio, passed away at his home on Tuesday, August 7, 2018. Born September 6, 1946 in Dennison, Ohio, he was a son of the late David Ezra and Bernidene (Parks) Garabrandt.

Ken served in the U.S. Army before beginning a long career in trucking and as a welder until his retirement from Dover Tank and Plate. In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking and gardening.

On August 5, 1967, he married the former Sylvia Catherine Fantine who survives him at their home. He is also survived by two daughters, Cindy (Cliff) Sommers and Debbie (Eric) Whitney; two sons, Kenneth (companion, Natasha) Garabrandt, Jr. and Kevin (Christina) Garabrandt; grandchildren, Mitch (Tiffany) Sommers, Ashley Clouse, Ayrika Whitney, Kyle Whitney, Andrew Garabrandt, Kailey Garabrandt, Bryanne Garabrandt, Michael Whitney, Anthony Whitney, Donnie Hayes, Jr., Jasmine Hayes, Braden Hayes, and Axel Garabrandt; great-grandchildren, Kennedy Watkins, Braxtyn Banks, Zaleigh Clouse, Kamden Garabrandt, and Greyson Garabrandt; siblings, Raymond (Linda), Ronald, Richard (Dorothy) and David Garabrandt, Marilyn Roahrig, and Lois Morrison; numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two great-granddaughters, Eclipz Garabrandt and McKenzie Clouse; sister, Barb Doughty; brothers, Robert and Rodney Garabrandt; sisters-in-law, Vickie and Judy Garabrandt; and brother-in-law, Bob Roahrig.

In keeping with Ken’s wishes, cremation is planned without a public visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
