Kenneth Clark

March 10, 1943 — May 26, 2009

Kenneth M. Clark, 66, of Uhrichsville, O., passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at Schoenbrunn Healthcare Center in New Philadelphia, O., following a lengthy illness.

Born March 10, 1943 in Dennison, O., he was a son of the late Homer Frank and Genevieve Loretta (Kinsey) Clark.

Ken was a resident of the Twin City area for most of his life, with the exception of the years that he spent in the service of his country as a soldier in the U.S. Army. He retired from L. J. Smith after several years with the company and had previously worked for Miracle Adhesives for over twenty years, as well as for a number of area claypipe companies including Larson, Cantex and Superior.

On December 12, 1961, Ken married the former Carol Sue Garner with whom he enjoyed nearly thirty-seven years of marriage until her passing on June 26, 1998. They are survived by three sons, Gregg A. Clark and his wife, Polly, Kelly L. Clark and his wife, Jody, and Troy Clark and his wife, Sabrina, all of Uhrichsville; and six grandchildren, Mrs. Todd (Heather) Hanna of New Philadelphia, and Hanna, Kollin, Kylle, Tessa and Makalla Clark, also of Uhrichsville.

Ken is also survived by a brother, Bill Clark of Newport; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Diane Diebel.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Clark.

Ken was a devoted and loving family man who enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s sporting events and spending time at his home with family, as well as travel in his later years. He was also an avid NASCAR fan and a longtime supporter of the Cleveland Browns.

Services for Ken, officiated by Rev. John W. Clark, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 30, in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home at Dennison. Interment will follow beside his wife at Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery.

Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Those wishing to honor Ken’s memory by a charitable contribution are encouraged to do so to their favorite charity.
