Kenneth D. Carpenter

Kenneth Dale Carpenter, 75, of Uhrichsville, passed away on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville. Born October 12, 1946 in Dennison, he was a son of the late Harry Frank and Betty Ilene (Nelson) Carpenter.

After his graduation from Uhrichsville High School, Ken proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1964 to 1967. He was employed by Slats and Nails for many years until retiring. Ken was a member of the Uhrichsville Eagles and Uhrichsville Moose, and he loved riding motorcycles. He attended Higher Call Ministries in Newcomerstown.

On November 25, 2013, Ken married Terrie F. (Gainer) Carpenter who survives him at their home. He is also survived by his sons, Dale (Meghan) Carpenter, Joseph Sebald, and Kevin Sebald; several grandchildren; sisters, Karen (Brent) Maple and Bonnie (Mike) Harper; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Sandy Egler; brothers, Richard and John Carpenter; and a granddaughter.

According to Ken’s wishes, he has been cremated. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 8, 2022, in Gnadenhutten-Clay Union Cemetery.
