Kelly S. Welch, 39, of Uhrichsville passed away unexpectedly at her home on August 24, 2012. Born on July 31, 1973 in Marion she was a daughter of Gerald and Sharon (Platz) Swain of Gnadenhutten.
Kelly graduated from Claymont High School in 1992. She was a full time mom and homemaker who loved spending time with her children and family. Kelly also enjoyed helping out with her children’s sports and cheering them on. Kelly had been an Avon representative and had an extensive bell collection.
She is survived by her husband, Terry “T.J.” Welch of their home, whom she married on May 13, 1995. In addition to her parents and husband she is survived by two sons, Tyler and Bryce Welch also of their home; siblings, Carl “JR” (Amy) Swain of Wainwright, Michelle Tinlin of Uhrichsville, Chris Swain of Athens, Jimmy (Sara) Swain of Uhrichsville and Rob (Erin) Matz of Erie; her paternal grandmother, Vada Swain of Uhrichsville; her mother-in-law, Brenda Welch of Uhrichsville; her brothers-in-law, Brian Welch of Bolivar and Barry (Amy) Welch of New Philadelphia; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents; her paternal grandfather, Carl F. Swain; and her father in law, Tom Welch.
In keeping with Kelly’s wishes cremation will take place prior to services. Family and friends are invited to a memorial visitation on Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. A celebration of Kelly’s life, officiated by Pastor Michael P. O’Guin will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Those wishing to honor her memory by a charitable contribution are encouraged to do so to The American Cancer Society.
