Karen Sue Haser, 63, of Port Washington, passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2016, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. Born June 27, 1952 in Dennison, she was a daughter of the late Elmer Franklin and Norma Jean (DeVore) Kohler. She was a loving mother and homemaker who had lived in Tuscarawas County throughout her life. Her family will lovingly remember her as the shortest, sweetest, toughest woman they’ve ever known.
Karen is survived by children, Brian Lake, Missy Lake, Terry (companion, Christine Lute) Lake, and Teresa (companion, Donny Robillard) Lake; 13 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; siblings, James (Sally) Milburn, Daniel (Kelly) Kohler, Janet (Michael) Besozzi, Gary (Marcelle) Kohler and Kevin (Tammy) Kohler; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Perry Haser, who was the love of her life, and a great-grandchild, Aiden Homan.
Services, officiated by Pastor Lisa M. Meese, will be held at 1pm on Saturday, April 23, 2016, in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison with visitation for two hours prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to her family in care of the funeral home to help defray the cost of her final expenses.
