Karen S. Cutlip, 64, of Uhrichsville, O., died on Monday, September 13, 2010 at her home.
A daughter of the late Clyde Harmon “Lefty” and Lillian Arlene (Camp) Foutz, Karen was born at Dennison, O. on June 14, 1946.
Karen was a 1964 graduate of Dennison High School and a lifelong resident of the Twin City area. She worked for many years at the Hicks Co. in Dennison until her retirement.
She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who was better known as “Granny”. Karen enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter and loved traveling with her husband. She was also a loving pet owner who will be sadly missed by her three canine companions, Bugsy, Velvet, and Cinder.
On November 4, 1967, Karen married David E. Cutlip who survives her at their home. She is also survived by their son, Matthew D. Cutlip and his wife, Michelle, of Mansfield, O.; granddaughter, Kennedy L. Cutlip of Uhrichsville; and two brothers, Larry Foutz of Uhrichsville and Jim Foutz and his wife, Cathy, of Uhrichsville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth L. Foutz, and a sister, Linda Rainsberger.
Services for Karen, officiated by Pastor Robert Russell, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 17, in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home at Dennison. Interment will follow in Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery.
Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Those wishing to honor Karen’s memory by a charitable contribution are encouraged to do so to the American Heart Association, the American Diabetes Association, and the Tuscarawas County Animal Shelter, in lieu of flowers.
