Judy Feister

Judy F. Feister, 67, of Midvale, O., passed away at her home while surrounded by her loving family on Monday, September 14, 2009, after a bravely fought battle with cancer.

Born July 6, 1942 in Dennison, O., she was a daughter of the late Albert M. and Beatrice I. (Burroway) Fanty.

On August 3, 1957, Judy married Junior Bruce Feister with whom she recently celebrated their fifty-second wedding anniversary. A resident of Tuscarawas County for her entire life, Judy also dearly loved the time she spent with her husband and family at their property on Clendening Lake. She enjoyed fishing and camping at the lake every chance she got, even up to the day before she left this life.

Judy’s other surviving family includes her five children, Bruce Feister and his wife, Cathy, of Midvale, Vickie Smith and her husband, Gary, of Uhrichsville, Kenny Feister and his wife, Barbie, of Scio, Todd Feister and his partner, Julie Skinner, of Midvale, and Brian Feister and his partner, Crystal Farnsworth, of Midvale; a brother, Kenneth Fanty and his wife, Teddy, of New Philadelphia; twenty-one grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Judy was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker who always seemed to be taking care of someone. She loved caring for her family and extended her loving care to other families as well, including at the daycare center in Super Fitness at New Philadelphia where she had worked as long as her health permitted.

Services for Judy, officiated by Pastor Brian Flood, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 16, in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home at Dennison. Interment will follow in Deersville’s Patterson Union Cemetery.

Family and friends are welcome to call at the funeral home from noon until 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, and are invited to join the family at Midvale’s Park Pavillion at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday for a time in celebration of Judy’s life. Memorial donations may be made to her family to help defray the cost of her medical care and final expenses.
