Josephine M. Vinci

Josephine M. Vinci, 90, of Dennison, passed away on Monday May 1, 2012 at her son and daughter-in-law’s home where she had resided during a period of declining health. Born April 20, 1922 she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Antoinette (Guzzi) Feri.

Josephine graduated from Dennison High School in 1940 and was a devoted member of Immaculate Conception Church of Dennison and also a member of the Altar Society. She was also a former A.I.C. Auxiliary member and loved to play bingo. Josephine’s greatest joy came from the time she spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Josephine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. She had worked for the former Vogue Artware pottery for 20 years and then retired from Fab Ohio after 22 years.

On November 25, 1943, Josephine married Ernest P. Vinci who preceded her in death on December 11, 1979.

Josephine’s surviving family includes her son, Ronnie A. and wife Karen “Mike” Vinci of Dennison; sisters, Concetta “Chetty” Angelozzi of Dennison and Lena T. Hart of Dennison; grandchildren, Scott Vinci of New Philadelphia, Veronica N. and husband Aaron Cottrell of Dennison, Brandie E. and husband Matt Fox of Uhrichsville, and Tracy A. Maxwell of Fredericksburg, VA; great grandchildren, Alivia, Hannah, Sarah, Sydnee, Henry, Solomon, Samantha, Hayden, Drew, Brady, Caroline; special people in her life, Deb Vinci, Darlene Smolack, Lori Rogers, and Sherry Holmes; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Josephine was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law Ralph and Helen Feri and her sister and brother-in-law Rose and Fred Lecce.

Private family services, officiated by Father Anthony Lonzo, will be held. Josephine will be interned next to her loving husband at St. Mary’s Cemetery near Dennison.
