Joseph E. Link

Joseph Ernest Link, 80, of Fresno, formerly of Tuscarawas, passed away on September 7, 2021 at Lafayette Pointe, following a period of declining health. Born October 3, 1940 in Dover, he was a son of the late Edward Ernest and Elizabeth Jane (Dotts) Link.

Joe was a 1958 graduate of Dover High School who worked in the maintenance department at Reeves Steel. He enjoyed hunting and fishing trips to Canada and was a member of Sharon Moravian Church.

On February 1, 1963, he married the former Sandra Kay Dessecker who survives him. Also surviving are his children, Troy (Bonnie) Link and Tammy (Abe) Hershberger; grandchildren, Chad (Kim) Devore, Cody (Trisha) Prater, Kasey (Dylan Sayre) Prater, Jeffrey (Kearsten) Hershberger, and Wesley Hershberger; great grandchildren, Dakoda, Ellianna, Avery, Kynlee, Hadley, Isabelle, and Declan; and a sister, Trudy (Bob) Sensel. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Greta York, Tom Link, Bert Link, and Ed Link.

In keeping with Joe’s wishes, he will be cremated. A celebration of life will be held on October 3, 2021 at 3pm in their home, located at 28267 Township Road 182, Fresno, OH 43824. Memorial donations may be made to Sharon Moravian Church.
