Joseph E. Cottrell, Jr.

Joseph Edward Cottrell, Jr., 55, of Dennison, passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2016, in Steubenville, after a lengthy illness. Born December 27, 1960 in Dennison, he was a son of Barbara Elaine (Garabrandt) Doughty and the late Joseph Edward Cottrell, Sr. and had been a lifelong resident of the area. Joe worked for 20 years for Semco Ceramics in Uhrichsville after serving in the U.S. Army in 1982. In his spare time, he loved to fish and hunt.

Joe is survived by his children, Tina (Jerod Feller) Cottrell, Joseph (Kelly) Cottrell III, and Kyle Cottrell; grandchildren, Devin, Dustin, Noah, and Mia; siblings, Barb (Pete) McPherson, Dora Cottrell, Betty (Donnie) Rollic, and Greg (Tammy Davis-Cottrell) Cottrell; step sister, Julie Doughty Goodwin; many nieces and nephews; and his former spouse, Tammy Hendrix.

Services, officiated by Rev. Larry Malterer, will be held at 1pm on Friday, September 9, in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Visitation will be 11am-1pm on Friday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery.
