John D. Warren

John Dean Warren, 79, of Uhrichsville, passed away on Monday, May 30, 2022, at Claymont Health and Rehabilitation Center, after a period of declining health. Born October 8, 1942 in Dover, he was the only child of the late Ernest Clyde Warren and Betty Jane (Hodkinson) Warren-Carpenter. A lifelong area resident, John had worked for several local restaurants over the years. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and going to car shows, and he loved working with his hands doing carpentry and crafts.

On November 2, 1990, John married Brynn Lisabeth (Matchett) Warren who survives him at their home. He is also survived by his daughters, Jackie Warren and Lisa Pelaketiyage, and three grandchildren, Ashlee and Evan Bowser and Daniel Redmond.

According to John’s wishes, cremation is planned without a public visitation. His family plans a private celebration of his life, and he will be interred in Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions honoring John’s memory may be made to Community Hospice, 716 Commercial Ave. S.W., New Philadelphia, OH  44663.
