John Roy Sanders

Devoted husband, dad, papa, son and brother, age 36 of New Philadelphia (Goshen), went to be with the Lord on Aug. 7, 2016. John was a lifelong resident of Tuscarawas County. He is survived by his wife and best friend of 17 years, Stephanie Sanders; two daughters, Danielle McKinney (Justin Menapace) and Taylor McKinney; two grandsons, Braylen Menapace and Braxton (Cubby) McKinney. John liked to call him Cubby. He is also survived by his mother and father, Elmer and Roselle Sanders of Uhrichsville; brother, Elmer (Madison) Sanders Jr. and their son Darron of Newcomerstown; brother, Tommy (Renee) Sanders and their daughter Lauren; sister, Mary (Chuck) Barger and their children Hailey and Dakota from Goshen; and many uncles, aunts and cousins, friends and neighbors.

John was a friend to many and was always available to lend a hand. John loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Friends and family may visit John at R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home, 26 Grant St., Dennison on Friday, Aug. 12, from 2-4p.m. and 6-8p.m. The funeral service will be Saturday, Aug. 13, at 11a.m. After the graveside service, we are asking family and friends to come back to our home at 6p.m. for a bonfire and food and to share good memories with each other about John’s life.
