John Edward Pinchek, 65, of Dennison, passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2008 following a 7 year illness. Born July 12, 1943 at Uhrichsville, he was a son of the late Joseph John Pinchek and Bessie M. (Wright) Pinchek McMasters. A life resident of the area, John was a 1962 graduate of Uhrichsville High School. John worked as a diesel mechanic for the former Larson Clay Plant for many years. In his spare time, John enjoyed camping, fishing, and painting cars.
On June 16, 1962, John married Linda L. (Hines) Pinchek at Gnadenhutten, and she survives him at their home. John’s other surviving family includes 2 sons; John C. (Loretta) Pinchek of Stillwater and Ralph E. (Bonnie) Pinchek of Rush Twshp; 2 daughters, Belinda S. Pinchek and companion Mick Fouts of Canton and Kathy Jo Pinchek and companion James Cox of Dennison; 6 grandchildren, April, Heather, Jill, Jena, Raymond, and John; 5 great grandchildren; sister Mrs. Michael (Donna) Cervellini of Brightwood; 2 stepbrothers; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his stepmother, Janet I. (Gorham) Pinchek, his brother Floyd Pinchek, his mother-in-law and father-in-law Chester and Helen Hines, and a great grandson, Colin Ray Pinchek.
A funeral service for John, officiated by Pastor Michael O’Guin, will be held Saturday, December 27, 2008 at 1:00pm in the R. K. Lindsey Funeral Home at Dennison. Internment will follow at Union Cemetery in Uhrichsville. Family and friends are invited to call at visitation for John on Saturday, December 27, 2008 from 11:00am until 1:00pm.
