John Ross Mcconnell

John Ross McConnell, 19, of New Philadelphia, O., passed away very unexpectedly in his home at a very young age on Monday, March 1, 2010.

Born September 30, 1990 in Fairborn, O., he was the son of Michael L. and Janet L. (Vanfossen) McConnell of New Philadelphia.

John was a graduate of New Philadelphia High School in the class of 2009 who attended First Baptist Church in New Philadelphia. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing video games, working on his computer and watching movies.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his grandparents: Rose Marie McConnell of Uhrichsville and Melvin and Shirley Vanfossen of Dennison; aunts and uncles: Randy and Wendy McConnell of Uhrichsville, Melinda and Mark Willard of Tappan, Joe and Linda Vanfossen of Dennison, and Wes Vanfossen of Kimbolton; and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by a grandfather, Harry McConnell; great grandparents: Pearl Smitley, Helen Morber, and Katherine and John Brown; and great uncles, Chuck, Art and Jim McConnell.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
