John A. Hughes, Ii

John Adrian Hughes, II, 58, of Gnadenhutten, passed away at home on Friday, March 29, 2024. Born August 12, 1965 in Coshocton, he was a son of the late John Adrian Hughes and Nancy Lou (Young) Hughes Mardis. He loved fishing and was a huge NASCAR fan.

John is survived by his sisters, Julia (Greg) Carr and Jayne Jones; friend and caregiver, Theresa Ferguson; nieces and nephews, Troy, Cassie, Ronald, Alayna, Abby, Ryan, Cody, and Justin; and daughters, Amber and Kimberly. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Hughes, and brother-in-law, Kevin Jones.

According to John’s wishes, in death he will improve the lives of others by the donation of his earthly remains for scientific research. Those wishing to honor his memory by a charitable contribution are encouraged to do so to their favorite charity.
