John Walter Frantz, 58, of Dennison, passed away at his home on Friday, August 26, 2016, from an apparent heart attack. Born September 1, 1957 in Dennison, he was a son of the late Richard Eugene Frantz and Helen Elizabeth (Wanosik) Frantz-Testa.
John was a lifelong Twin City resident and 1976 graduate of Claymont High School. He was a longtime employee of the Gradall Co. where he was a machinist from 1993 until his retirement early this year. John was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing and playing with his canine companion, Jasmine. Above all, he loved spending time with his son.
He is survived by his son, Chad Frantz and his companion, Meleah McAtee; siblings, Donna Strother, Kathleen (Rudolph) Karich, and Richard (Beverly) Frantz, Jr.; former spouse, Lori Frantz; and several aunts, nieces, and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Carl Testa, and brother-in-law, Jim Strother.
In keeping with John’s wishes, he has been cremated without a public visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
