John A. Craddoc

June 2, 1961 — March 27, 2017

John A. Craddoc “Crash” 55 of New Philadelphia died Monday, March 27, 2017 in the Claymont Health and Rehabilitation of Uhrichsville from complications of Parkinson’s disease. Born June 2, 1961 in Lorain County, Ohio, he was a son of the late Franklin and Bonnie (Long) Craddoc. John graduated in 1979 from Indian Valley South. He retired in 2011 from the Indian Valley School District after 32 years of maintaining a large fleet of school buses and preparing them for inspections. John attended the St. James Lutheran Church of Tuscarawas.

John is survived by his son, Cole, of New Philadelphia. If there was something Cole wanted as a child, John built it for him. These memories include a mini Monster Truck which was featured during a Monster Truck show at Charlotte Motor Speedway. John enjoyed playing pool with friends, riding his motorcycle and NASCAR races, and he was present at all of Cole’s activities. Also surviving are Cole’s mother; a brother, Jeff Craddoc of Connecticut; and a sister Karla Dyess of Canton.

The family has respectfully followed John’s request of cremation. Under the direction of the R. K. Lindsey Funeral Home, services will be held Friday, March 31st at 7:00 pm in the First Moravian Church in Dover with Pastor John Wallace officiating. Friends may call two hours prior to the service (5-7pm) also on Friday the 31st at the church. Memorial contributions may be sent in John’s memory to the Indian Valley Foundation, PO Box 171, Gnadenhutten, OH 44629.
