Joan T. Jones

Joan T. Jones, 67, of Dover, passed away Thursday, January 22, 2009 at New Dawn Retirement Community Center in Dover. Born August 21, 1941 in Orlando, FL, she was a daughter of the late George H. and Dorothy E. (O’Brien) Hunt.

A resident of our area for the past 20 years, Joan was a certified nurses aid and also a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. Joan was a member of the Uhrichsville Eagles, the Uhrichsville Moose Lodge, the Dover V.F.W., and the Dover Eagles.

On October 9, 1963, Joan married Jerall L. Jones, Sr. who survives her at their home in Dover. Joan’s other surviving family includes, 3 sons and a daughter, John “Mike” Hilbert, Rebecca “Becky” Jones, and Jerry Lee Jones, all of Dennison, and Jerall L. Jones, Jr. of Fort Sill, OK. She is also remembered by many other close family friends and loved ones, including Penny Halsey.

In addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by her twin sister Mary Engstrom.

Services for Joan, officiated by her son Jerall L. Jones, Jr., will be held Sunday, January 25, 2009 at 3:00 pm in the R. K. Lindsey Funeral Home at Dennison. Family and friends may call during visitation at the funeral home on Sunday, January 25, 2009, from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm.
