Jerry D. Shaw

Jerry Duane Shaw, II, 47, of Massillon, formerly of Tuscarawas, passed away at his home on Friday, September 2, 2022. Born November 15, 1974 in Dennison, he was the son of Jerry Duane and Barbara Murlene (McDaniel) Shaw of Tuscarawas.

In addition to his parents, Jerry is survived by his wife, Jeannette R. (Huff) Shaw whom he married on February 14, 2022; son, Paul Ray Shaw; sister, Shannon (Greg) Cobb; and niece, Krystina (James) Hickey.

Jerry was a 1992 graduate of South Vermillion High School in Clinton, Indiana. He had been employed as a welder for Great Dane in Terre Haute, Indiana and was a member of the Pipefitters Union. Most recently, he had been a cook at the Sand Pit Café and Lounge for the past two years while living in Massillon. Jerry was an avid fisherman and had been a member of the Rod and Gun Club in Indiana. He was Baptist by faith.

According to Jerry’s wishes, cremation is planned. His family will celebrate his life privately, and he will be interred in Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery on a future date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s favorite charity in support of animals.
