Jerry A. Monroe

Jerry Allen Monroe, 64, of Freeport, died Thursday, January 21, 2016, at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Cambridge. Born November 13, 1951 in Akron, he was a son of the late Harold and Rosemary (Daughtery) Monroe. He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War and a retiree of the Freeport Press where he had been employed for 32 years.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Marge (Beamer) Monroe; daughters, Brooke (Brent) Overholt and Brandy (Ryan) Smith; grandchildren, Madeline and Maverick Overholt; and brother, Don (Flo) Monroe.

According to Jerry’s wishes, no visitation or service is planned. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Freeport United Methodist Church, 222 S. High St., Freeport, OH 43973.
