Jerry A. Hines

Jerry Allen Hines, 68, of Uhrichsville, passed away with his loving wife by his side on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at Country Club Retirement Center in Dover, following a lengthy illness. Born August 17, 1954 in Coshocton, he was a son of the late Dalton Dunlevy Hines and Katherine Helen (Nemuth) Hines.

Jerry was a lifelong area resident and a 1972 graduate of Claymont High School. He had worked both as a carpenter and as a truck driver over the years. He was a member of New Rumley Global Methodist Church. Jerry enjoyed membership in the Uhrichsville Moose and Uhrichsville Eagles, and was an associate member of Tuscarawas VFW.

On June 22, 1974, he married Anna Mae (Tinney) Hines with whom he looked forward to celebrating 49 years of marriage. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his siblings, Theresa, Dalton, and Jeff Hines, as well as many nieces and nephews. Jerry will also be missed by his dear cats that he loved so much.

According to Jerry’s wishes, cremation is planned. Pastor Mick Foster will officiate a memorial service at noon on Wednesday, May 17, in the R. K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the New Rumley Global Methodist Church.
