Jay F. Craft, 75, of Dennison, passed away at his home on Wednesday, November 19, 2014. Born May 11, 1939 in Cadiz, he was a son of the late Stewart F. and Cora A. (Gribble) Craft.

A lifelong resident of the area, Jay was a 1958 graduate of Dennison High School and a longtime member of Dennison First Presbyterian Church. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army in the early 60’s. After a 30 year career as a machinist, he retired from the Gradall Co. in 1999. Jay loved spending time outdoors and enjoyed hunting, as well.

On September 17, 1960, Jay married the former Ann Greenlee who survives him. He is also survived by sons, Todd (Chris) Craft of Richmond, Virginia and Scott (Beth) Craft of Lancaster, Ohio; grandchildren, Garrett and Laurel Craft of Richmond and Nathan and Sarah Craft of Lancaster; siblings, Gary (Carol) Craft of Uhrichsville and Jill (Terry) Cox of Knoxville, Tennessee; sister-in-law, Margaret Craft of Uhrichsville; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Jay was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Craft.

Services for Jay, officiated by Rev. Mark Unrue, will be held at noon on Saturday, November 22, in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Visitation will be 11am to noon on Saturday at the funeral home. Those wishing to honor his memory by a charitable contribution are encouraged to do so to the Dennison Fire Department, 302 Grant St., Dennison, OH 44621.
