Janet Green

Janet Green 56, of Uhrichsville, passed away at The Cleveland Clinic on Sunday, February 8, 2015. Born November 21, 1958 in Dennison, she was a daughter of Ellen I. (Dean) Rowe of Uhrichsville and the late Arnold Douglas Rowe. She was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Green to whom she was married on February 16, 1979; sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Louis Tantarelli; brother, Jimmie D. Rowe; and sister-in-law, Linda Rowe, as well as her father.

Janet was a lifelong resident of Uhrichsville and a Claymont H.S. graduate. She was a wonderful cook who worked for several area restaurants including the J-N-G Grill and Main Street, as well as working for her son at John’s Foods and Green’s Detailing. She will be fondly remembered for her delicious creations, especially her macaroni salad.

In addition to her mother, Janet is survived by her children, Chad (Lisa) Green, Tabitha (John) Affolter, and Mandy Green, all of Uhrichsville; grandchildren, Isabella, Jerzi, Kanzas, Kruze and Kamden, along with her “granddog”, Bentley; siblings, Edward “Lee” Rowe, David (Dana) Rowe, Ronald Rowe, Arthur “Billy” Rowe, and Mary Lou (Mark) Dunlap; many nieces and nephews; and her beloved canine companion, Dolly Dean.

In keeping with Janet’s wishes, she has been cremated without a public visitation. A memorial service and celebration of her life will be held at 2pm on Saturday, February 14, in Grace United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall in Uhrichsville. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
