James R. "Jimmy" Tedrick

James Richard “Jimmy” Tedrick, 70, of Bolivar, formerly of Uhrichsville, passed away at Horizons Group Home in Bolivar on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 after a period of declining health. Born September 19, 1945 in Gnadenhutten, he was a son of the late Anna Mae Tedrick.

Jimmy was a lifelong resident of the area who had worked at the Starlight Enterprises Workshop for many years and recently attended Avenues of Adventure. He was a loving and good-natured friend to many who loved fishing and watching sports, especially wrestling, the Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Buckeyes. He was a member of the Good Shepherd Ministries at New Philadelphia First Baptist Church.

His surviving family includes many nieces and nephews, including a special nephew, Jerry Tedrick and his wife, Pamela, of Uhrichsville; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; and a host of dear friends and caregivers from Horizon Group Homes with whom he had resided for much of his life.

Services, officiated by Pastor Bill Harrison, will be held at 3pm on Saturday, January 2, 2016, in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Visitation will be for an hour prior to the funeral service. Interment will be at 11am on Monday, January 4, at Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery.
