James "Pat" Patterson

James Junior “Pat” Patterson, 89, of Dennison, passed away at his home on Friday, January 26, 2018. Born July 18, 1928 in Mill Twp., Tuscarawas Co., Ohio, he was a son of the late James Kelly and Mildred (Bennett) Patterson.

Pat was a 1946 graduate of Uhrichsville High School and a lifelong resident of the area. He owned and operated several business in the area, including a general store in Stillwater.

In the spring of 1953, he married the former Rena Claire Stocker with whom he enjoyed sixty years of marriage until her passing on January 26, 2014. They are survived by a son, Mike (Ann) Patterson; granddaughters, Kate (Matt) Foran and Molly (Tim) Flynn; and great-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Evelyn Foran, and twins, Samuel and Henry Flynn. Pat is also survived by his siblings, Doyle Patterson, Ronald Patterson, Joyce Moody, Ruth Ross and William Patterson, and many nieces and nephews.

According to Pat’s wishes, cremation is planned without a public visitation. A private, family graveside service is planned at Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery where he will be interred with his beloved wife. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice.
