Jacqueline J. "Jackie" Snyder

Jacqueline Joyce “Jackie” Snyder, 70, of Bowerston, passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2017, in Massillon. Born July 11, 1946 in Dennison, she was a daughter of the late John Judson and Mary Estelle (Ashleman) Sharrock. Jackie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister who loved caring for her family and was an excellent cook. She enjoyed playing cards with her sister, Peggy, and was an avid reader.

A 1964 graduate of Midvale High School, Jackie lived in Massillon for 40 years before moving to Bowerston in 2009. She is survived by her children, Amy (Terry) Noall and Michael (Cathy) Snyder; grandchildren, Breanna Snyder, Zachary Sewell and Billy Smith; sister, Peggy Knight; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Clark Snyder to whom she was married on July 8, 1967 and with whom she enjoyed nearly 37 years of marriage until his passing on May 5, 2004. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Piatt, and brother-in-law, Jerry Knight.

A memorial service will be held at noon on Saturday, April 8, in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison where visitation will be from 11am to noon. Interment will follow in Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice, 716 Commercial Avenue SW, New Philadelphia, Ohio 44663.
