Jacqueline Rae Davis

Jacqueline Rae “Jackie” Davis, 81, of Gnadenhutten, passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2019, at New Dawn Retirement Community in Dover. Born March 30, 1938 in Dennison, she was a daughter of the late Raymond J. and Marguerite A. (Yager) Davis.

Jackie grew up in the area and was a 1956 graduate of Tuscarawas High School. She lived in Columbus, Ohio for over 20 years where she had been employed as a secretary, before returning to Tuscarawas County in her retirement. She was a member of Uhrichsville First Christian Church for many years who enjoyed arts and crafts, in her spare time.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step sister and brother-in-law, Beverly and Jim Norris. She is survived by several nieces and nephews, including Rick Norris, Greg Norris, Beth Myers, Bill Davis, Mark Davis and Terri Romano, as well as numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.

In keeping with Jackie’s wishes, cremation is planned without a public service. Charitable contributions honoring her memory may be made to the Tuscarawas County Humane Society, 1432 Tall Timber Rd. N.E., New Philadelphia, OH  44663, in lieu of flowers.
