Jackie Lynn DeMattio, 56, of Uhrichsville, passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2019, at Trinity Hospital Twin City in Dennison. Born September 28, 1962 in Dennison, she was a daughter of the late Francis Leo and Judy Louise (Maher) Howell. She was also preceded in death by her loving grandmother, Josephine (Vosick) Shidaker.
Jackie was a lifelong area resident and 1980 graduate of Claymont High School. She owned and operated Robb Fox Construction with her husband for many years, in addition to being a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She loved photography and will be remembered for her many photos of local events. She also loved caring for her flower gardens and her home. Above all else, she treasured the time that she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.
On March 14, 1980, Jackie married Thomas E. DeMattio who survives her along with their daughters, Jaime (Nathan) Cox and Heather (Allen) Carothers; and grandchildren, Lillian and Zakary Cox and Chevelle, Mollie, Zoey and Harper Carothers. She is also survived by her sister, Carrie (fiancé, Jim LaCroix) Howell; brothers, Nick, Eugene “Doc” and W. Mike Howell; and parents-in-law, Edward and Barbara DeMattio.
In keeping with Jackie’s wishes, cremation is planned without a public visitation. A private, family service is planned. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice, 716 Commercial Ave. S.W., New Philadelphia, OH 44663.
