Jack E. Wingrove, age 84, of New Philadelphia, Ohio died Thursday, February 21, 2013 at Gainesville, Florida. Born in Captina (Graysville), W. Va. on June 13, 1928, he was the son of the late Arthur L. Wingrove and Margaret M. (Dunlap) Wingrove.
He graduated from Powhatan High School, Powhatan Point, Ohio and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from The Ohio State University. He was a Navy veteran, a member of Broadway United Methodist Church in New Philadelphia, the American Legion, Moose Lodge #740 in Uhrichsville, and Delta Sigma Phi fraternity. He retired as supervisor of methods and standards from the Gradall Co. of New Philadelphia after 33 years of service.
Survivors include his wife, Betty M. (Davis) Wingrove, whom he married December 16, 1960; two daughters, Stephanie A. (William) Roberts of Hudson, Ohio and Kimberly A. (Larry) Shilling of Dublin, Ohio; two granddaughters, Katherine and Elizabeth Shilling; two grandsons, Mark and Matthew Roberts; and a sister, Janet E. (Donald) Pavich of Pickerington, Ohio.
Visitation will be Friday, March 1, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison, Ohio where Pastor Bill Sowers will conduct a funeral service beginning at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in the Linwood Cemetery in Blaine, Ohio.
