Inez Jo-Ann Garabrandt, 89, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away at her daughter’s home in Galena, Ohio, on Monday, December 7, 2020. Born May 31, 1931 in Dennison, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Russell Everett and Sara Elizabeth (Enos) Roahrig.

On June 30, 1956, Jo-Ann married Robert Garabrandt, Sr. with whom she enjoyed 35 years of marriage until his passing on July 27, 1991. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker who had devoted her life to her family. She will be deeply missed by her surviving family which includes her children, Robin Shinn (Garabrandt), Robert A. Garabrandt, Jr., Bernidene “Betsi” Huntzinger (Garabrandt), Ronald (Sharon) Markley, David (Sissy) Markley, and Philda (Dale) Carothers (Markley); numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Vonnie Cox; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Charles Eugene “Chuckie” Markley on May 18, 2020; her brothers, Raymond Roahrig, Blaine Roahrig, Byron Roahrig, and Robert Roahrig; and sisters, Katherine Clark, Virginia Porter, Sarah Allensworth, Vivian Roahrig, Phyllis Heil, and Joyce Clough.

Rev. Larry Malterer will officiate a 1:00 p.m. graveside service on Friday, December 11, 2020, in Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery where she will be interred beside her beloved husband.
