Hazel Louise “Pat” Vosick, 79, of Uhrichsville, O., passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at Twin City Hospital in Dennison, O.
Born October 16, 1929 in Uhrichsville, she was a daughter of the late Edward Moses and Hazel Louise (Edwards) Keffer.
Pat recently celebrated her sixty-first wedding anniversary with her husband, Browny Vosick, to whom she was married on September 11, 1948. She is also survived by four children, Gary Vosick and his wife, Sandy, of Cincinnati, Georgia “Sis” Neilson of Uhrichsville, Brownie Vosick and his wife, Angie, of Sarasota, Fla., and Dale Vosick of Uhrichsville; grandchildren, Doug Neilson, Mrs. Ron (Hallie) Garbrandt, Casey Neilson, Mrs. Cameron (Alison) Wilbur, Mrs. John (Jade) Durham, Louis Vosick, Jordan Vosick and his wife, Ashley, Molly Vosick, Megan Vosick, Whitney Vosick and Andrew Vosick; step grandchildren, Jon Francis and his wife, Kerry, and Shad Francis and his wife, Tracy; great grandchildren, Logan Armstrong, Griffin Garbrandt, Meadow and Drake Neilson, Braxton Neilson, Carson Wilbur, Gage and Gavin Vosick, and Ella Gipson; and two step great grandchildren, McKenna and Macguire Francis.
She is also survived by a brother, Albert Ross Keffer and his wife, Nancy, of Columbus; a sister, June Gregory of Columbus; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Sabrina Vosick; brothers, John, William, Paul, Willis and Herbert Keffer; and sisters, Dolly and Maxine Keffer.
Pat was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker who had also worked for General Telephone in their custodial department until her retirement in the early 90’s. She was well known for her cooking, especially her pies, which earned her the nickname “Mama Pie” at Bethel Worship Center where she had been a member for a number of years.
Services for Pat, officiated by Pastor Jeff D. Graska, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 16, in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home at Dennison. Interment will follow in Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery.
Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Those wishing to honor Pat’s memory by a charitable contribution are encouraged to do so to Bethel Worship Center, 634 N. Main St., Uhrichsville, OH 44683.
