Harold "Haddy" E. Bobzien

Harold Eugene “Haddy” Bobzien, 75, of Gnadenhutten, passed away on Friday, August 31, 2018, at Aultman Hospital in Canton. Born January 15, 1943 in Dennison, he was a son of the late Harold R. and Anna Mae (Williams) Bobzien.

A lifelong Tuscarawas County resident, Haddy was a 1961 graduate of Uhrichsville High School. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany, during the Vietnam War. He was a banker for many years, having been employed by several area banks, until his retirement from the former BancOne (now Chase) in 2005. He was also a licensed barber since 1962.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Crystal L. (Blackwell) Bobzien whom he married on November 19, 1992; children, Amber (Robert) Dennison, Autumn Hayes, Matthew (Briana) Bobzien, Nicole (Donald) Cooper, Rebecca (Ron) Turnbull, and James (Erin) Riggle; 7 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; son-in-law, David Hayes; and mother-in-law, Ramona Davis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his fathers-in-law, Jim Blackwell and Dave Davis.

Services, officiated by Pastor Ryan Cockrill, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 4, 2018, in R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Interment will follow in Gnadenhutten-Clay Union Cemetery in Gnadenhutten with a military committal service. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 3, at the funeral home.
