Glenn E. Gardner

April 11, 1941 — June 16, 2013

Glenn Eugene Gardner, 72, of Tippecanoe, passed away after a sudden illness on Sunday, June 16, 2013 at Trinity Hospital Twin City in Dennison. Born April 11, 1941 in Perry Twp. in Tuscarawas County, he was a son of the late John “Bert” and Helen (Weingarth) Gardner.

Glenn is survived by four brothers, Richard (Sandra) Gardner of Port Washington, Donald (Donna) Gardner of New Philadelphia, Harvey Gardner of Tippecanoe and Kenneth (Mildred) Gardner of Newcomerstown; a sister, Faye (William) Tharp of Tippecanoe; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Gardner of Tippecanoe; many nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, John R. Gardner and Clifford G. Gardner.

A loving pet owner, Glenn enjoyed caring for the many cats and dogs he took in over the years. He also loved cars and trucks and prided himself on knowing the make and model of many, many vehicles. He was gifted with a memory for faces and names, always remembering anyone whom he’d met.

Services for Glenn, officiated by Rev. Richard E. Rothrock, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 20, in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
