Gertrude F. Gatten

Gertrude F. “Gert” Gatten, 69, of Dennison, passed away February 29, 2020. Born March 2, 1950 in Dover, she was a daughter of the late Roy Tice Sr. and Jenny (Smart) Tice.

Gert attended both Dover and Strasburg schools. She attended the Salvation Army Church in New Philadelphia and also belonged to the Uhrichsville Moose Ladies Aux and the Uhrichsville Eagles.  Gert was a devoted homemaker.

On April 13, 1968, Gert married Lloyd L. Gatten, who survives her.  In addition, she is survivied by brothers, Roy Tice, Jr. and Arthur Tice; sisters, Betty (Donald) Webb, Rebecca (Ken) Applegarth, Jen (Tom) Harding, Ruth Ann (Rob) Meek, and Elsie (John) Meek; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth Tice and brother, Rockford Smart.

In keeping with her wishes, Gert will be cremated without any public services.
