Geraldine "Nancy" E. Grove

Geraldine Etna “Nancy” Grove, 77, of New Philadelphia, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 20, 2017. Born February 20, 1940 in Dennison, she was a daughter of the late Harry Lee and Blanche Mae (Hines) Burdette. A 1958 graduate of Dennison High School, she had attended New Philadelphia First Baptist Church.

Following the death of her husband, Jack Grove, in 1971, she selflessly devoted her life to her six young children. Nancy is survived by her children, Willie (Jill) Grove, Jack (Sharon) Grove, Marlene (Gilbert) Rohr, Jeff (Kim) Grove, Greg Grove, and Tony (Christina) Grove; 23 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; siblings, Alice (Chuck) Coletti, Harry “Buss” (Mina) Burdette Jr., Larry Burdette, and Helen Wilson; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Todd Grove, and brothers, Richard, Paul, Everett, and Ray Burdette.

Services, officiated by Pastor Michael Thomas, will be held at 1pm on Thursday, March 23, in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison where visitation will be for two hours prior to the funeral. Interment will be in Evergreen Burial Park in New Philadelphia. Memorial contributions may be made to Aultman Hospice & Palliative Care, 2821 Woodlawn Ave. N.W., Canton, OH 44708.
