George William “Georgie” Burroway, 26, of Uhrichsville, was called by Jesus to his heavenly home from his earthly one on Tuesday, June 9, 2015. He was born August 12, 1988 in Canton. A lifelong Twin City resident, Georgie attended Starlight School for 4 years and then continued in home-based education through Claymont High School until his graduation in 2007. Georgie was a gift from God who taught all who knew him to laugh, cry and love.
Georgie is survived by his dad, Harold “Chip” Burroway; mom, Eva Burroway; brothers and sisters, Annabelle Anderson, Ethel (James) Maize, Daniel (Wendy) Burroway, Hershel Burroway, Denise Clark, Katie Burroway, Warne Burroway and Nicholas Hayes; many nieces and nephews; and his friend, Carrie Carpenter, whom he always loved. He is also survived by his biological family, including his birth mother, Roxanne Caldwell.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Douglas Burroway; special aunt, “Auntie M” Margaret Kellar; special grandmother, “Grandma Judy” Judith Dorto; maternal grandparents, Harold and Ethel Miller; and paternal grandparents, Nellie Rennicker and Harold Burroway.
Services for Georgie, officiated by Pastor Rod Phillips, will be held at 1pm on Friday, June 12, in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Interment will follow in Ridgecrest Memory Gardens in Dover. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home from 5pm to 8pm on Thursday. Those wishing to honor his memory by a charitable contribution are encouraged to do so to Dennison Foursquare Church.
