Georgann Fox

Georgann Wanosik Fox, 63, of Dennison, passed away on Monday, August 5, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center in Canton after a brief illness. Born October 11, 1949 in Dennison, she was the daughter of Eleanor M. (Witting) Wanosik of Dennison and the late Joseph George “Dutch” Wanosik.

A lifelong resident of Dennison, Georgann was a graduate of Claymont High School in 1967 before attending Gerber Beauty School, graduating in 1969. She retired as an assistant manager at Family Dollar in Uhrichsville in 2012. Above all else, Georgann was an amazing wife, mother and grandmother who was utterly devoted her family. She cherished the time that she spent with her grandchildren and especially enjoyed faithfully attending their every school and sporting event as their biggest fan. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but most of all by her loving husband, children and grandchildren.

On May 19, 1972, Georgann married Randall F. Fox who survives her at their home. In addition to her mother and husband, she is also survived by two daughters, Danielle (Douglas) Albaugh of Dennison and Ashley (Scott) Oberholzer of Wilmington, N. Car.; grandchildren, Dylan, Blake and Dorian Albaugh and Arleigh Oberholzer with another granddaughter expected in November; her brother, Bruce (Sue) Wanosik; a special cousin, Suzanne Davis who was like a sister to her; aunts and uncles, Donnie and Janice Cable, Dean and Almeda Pocock, and Mary Palandrani; nephews, Michael (Christy) Wanosik and Brent (Erica) Wanosik; her dear canine companion, Gracie; and many extended family members including a number of in-laws.

Services for Georgann, officiated by Rev. Mark Unrue, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 9, in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Interment will follow in Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
