Frederick B. Roahrig

Frederick B. Roahrig, 64, of Uhrichsville, O., passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2009 in his home, following a lengthy illness.

Born October 10, 1944 in Dennison, O., he was a son of Vivian Marie (Lemonte) Roahrig of Uhrichsville and the late Raymond Everett Roahrig.

A resident of the area for much of his life, Fred had also lived in Pennsylvania for a number of years, as well as in Germany for a time. He had been employed most recently by Case Farms and had previously worked at Shenango in Dover for over ten years.

Fred loved spending time with his friends at the local clubs where he belonged which include the Dover Eagles and Army-Navy Club.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by two daughters, Lori McCullough of Sugarcreek and Cindy Roahrig and her husband, Edwin Carbajal, of Canton; two grandchildren, Katia Nichole McCullough and Brayden Jonathan Carbajal; a sister, Rae Allene Foster of Texas; a brother, Stacey Roahrig and his companion, Dora Horvat, of Piney Fork, O.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father; an infant brother, Russell Everett Roahrig; and two sons, Frederick and Christopher Roahrig.

In keeping with Fred’s wishes, he has been cremated without a public visitation or service. Those wishing to honor his memory by a charitable contribution are encouraged to do so to Hospice of Tuscarawas County.
