Freda Carrie Garbrandt

Freda Carrie Garbrandt, 87, of Venice, Florida, formerly of Dennison, passed away in Venice on Tuesday, May 31, 2016. Born November 9, 1928 in Tippecanoe, she was a daughter of the late Harry B. and Margaret (McCauley) Hines.

On August 2, 1947, Freda married Joseph A. Garbrandt with whom she enjoyed over 61 years of marriage until his passing on July 16, 2008. They are survived by a son, Wayne (Karen) Garbrandt; daughter, Mary Margaret “Tootie” Stiffler; grandchildren, Lisa (Eddie) Brandt, Troy Byrd, Chad (Bridget) Garbrandt, Travis (fiancée, Stacy) Garbrandt, and Shane (fiancée, Heather) Garbrandt; and nine great-grandchildren. Freda is also survived by her adopted brother, Harry Dean Hines, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Andrew Stiffler, and two sisters.

In keeping with Freda’s wishes, a private family graveside service will take place in Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery where she will be interred beside her beloved husband.
