Franky Jay Warner, 54, of New Philadelphia, passed away on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital in Dover. Born December 12, 1967 in Columbus, Georgia, he was a son of Karen Sue (Carpenter) and Brent Maple of Newcomerstown.
A 1988 graduate of Strasburg High School, Frank was a resident of Tuscarawas County for much of his life with the exception of the years that he spent serving his country in the U.S. Navy. He was a long distance truck driver for many years with several area trucking companies. Frank was an avid fan of The Ohio State University’s sports and would never miss the chance to cheer them on for every game.
He is survived by his mother, Karen and stepfather, Brent, who raised him like his own; siblings, Laurie (Mike) White, John (Heather) Metzger, Starla (Paul) Burris, Tina (Bill) McGovern, and Tracy (Lee) Bolling; and a large extended family that includes many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
In keeping with Frank’s wishes, he was cremated, and a memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 27, at Higher Call Ministries on Canal Street in Newcomerstown. He will be interred in Gnadenhutten-Clay Union Cemetery.
