Frank Robert Sanders

Frank Robert Sanders, 91, of Uhrichsville, passed away on Monday, October 12, 2015, at Hennis Care Centre in Dover, after a period of declining health. Born October 13, 1923 in Port Washington, he was a son of the late James Wesley and Ida Mae (Carpenter) Sanders. The last of his generation, Frank was also preceded in death by his siblings, James, Bill, Raymond, Elsie, Florence, Hollis, and Mary, as well as by two grandsons, David and James.

Frank was a lifelong Tuscarawas County resident who attended the Watson Creek School in his youth before beginning his long career in the local claypipe manufacturing and timber industries. He was a member of the Bethel Worship Center in Uhrichsville.

On November 2, 1956, Frank married the former Ruth Ann Workman who survives him along with their children, Larry (Sue) Sanders, Donna Hess, Dora (Robert) Smith, Brenda (Jim) Sellers, Linda Gibson, Sara (Steve) Freeland, Duwana Hilliker, and Phyllis (Harry) Ross; 17 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Services for Frank, officiated by Pastor John Stevenson, will be held at 1pm on Thursday, October 15, 2015 in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. He will be interred in West Union Cemetery near Gilmore. Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 11am to 1pm on Thursday.
