Frank David "Dave" Chini

January 25, 1951 — June 13, 2025

Frank David Chini, known by all as Dave, age 74, passed away at his home in Uhrichsville, Ohio, while surrounded by his loving family on Friday, June 13, 2025. Born January 25, 1951 in Dennison, Ohio, he was the last surviving child of the late Francis Dominic “Frank” and Rose C. (Battalio) Chini, having been preceded in death by his sister, Mary Jo Stewart.

Dave was a lifelong Twin City resident and member of Immaculate Conception Church in Dennison who was a member of St. Mary’s High School’s last graduating class in 1970. At the age of 18, Dave began his life’s work as an employee of Superior Clay in Uhrichsville where he proudly worked until his retirement. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and had belonged to the VFW, as well as several area social clubs including the Elks and the Moose.

A car buff, Dave loved going to car shows and had a great appreciation for vintage muscle cars. He was also an avid fan of all of the Cleveland and Ohio State sports teams. In his spare time, he loved fishing and playing cornhole while spending time with his friends and his family whom he loved so dearly. He especially treasured the time that he spent with his grandchildren who were the light of his life.

On October 31, 1987, Dave married Rebecca Sue (Roseberry) Chini with whom he enjoyed over 30 years of loving marriage until her passing on January 22, 2018. He will be deeply missed by his surviving family which includes sons, Christopher (companion, Joslynn) Chini, Matthew Chini, and Dave (Desiree) Bender; grandchildren, Arianna and Carter Chini, Olivia Higgins, and Darren, Katlynn, Maddison and Tyler Bender; and several nieces and nephews.

According to Dave’s wishes, he will be cremated without a public visitation or service, and his family will celebrate his life privately. In lieu of flowers, Dave’s memory may be honored by a charitable donation to Crossroads Hospice Charitable Foundation, 10810 E. 45th St., Ste. 300, Tulsa, OK  74146.
