Evelyn (Jones) Clark

Evelyn Stella Mae (Jones) Clark, 80, of Carrollton, formerly of Tippecanoe and Freeport, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 6, 2015 at Aultman Hospital in Canton. Born April 15, 1935 in Newark, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Clarence Brittian and Ida Roena Chaney.

On April 30, 1956, Evelyn married Lloyd Lee Clark, Sr. with whom she enjoyed nearly 30 years of marriage until his passing on January 15, 1986. They are survived by their children, Thomas (Sue) Clark, Starlet (Virgil) Salyers, Lori Davidson, Wesley (Monica) Clark, Duchess Clark, and Lloyd (Tara) Clark, III; 30 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; and a number of extended family members. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Gloria Clark; great-grandchildren, Israel Christian Soto, Carolyn Yeager, Alexandria Vanfossen, and Alyssa Bennedict; and sister, Helen Litton.

Services for Evelyn, officiated by Pastor Ryan Lennon, will be held at 1pm on Saturday, September 12, in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 11am to 1pm on Saturday. In keeping with Evelyn’s wishes, she will be cremated and interred with her beloved husband in Freeport’s Greenmont Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to her family, in care of the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home, 26 Grant St., Dennison, OH 44621-1269, to help defray the cost of her final expenses.
