Esther L. Dotto, 80, of Tuscarawas, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2013 at Bowerston Hills Nursing Home. Born February 28, 1933 in Dennison, she was a daughter of the late Aldo V. Cargnel and Amelia S. (Costa) Cargnel Joyce.
On October 18, 1949, Esther married Edward J. Dotto, who survives her, in Immaculate Conception Church in Dennison. She is also survived by a son, John E. (Darlene) Dotto of New Philadelphia; a daughter, Nancy (Jan) Natoli of Seminole, Fla.; grandchildren, Michelle (Tim) Fritz, Lisa (Aaron) Burkart, Bo (Rachel) Natoli, Heaven Peet, Demi Dotto, Gaberielle Dotto and Bella Dotto; a great-grandson, Rylan Williams; a brother, Jim (Patricia) Cargnel of New Philadelphia; a sister, Kaye (Larry) Harmon of Pittsburgh; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Mark Dotto.
A lifelong resident of Tuscarawas County, Esther attended Uhrichsville High School. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker who delighted in caring for her home and family. She especially treasured the time that she spent with her grandchildren. In her spare time, she enjoyed jigsaw puzzles and playing Bingo.
Services for Esther, officiated by Father Anthony Lonzo, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 25 in Immaculate Conception Church. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery near Dennison. Family and friends are invited to call at the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday with a Christian Wake service held at 7:30 p.m. that evening. Those wishing to honor her memory by a charitable contribution are encouraged to do so to Immaculate Conception Church’s Memorial Book Fund.
