Eric W. Kramer

Eric William Kramer, 48, of New Philadelphia, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital in Dover, Ohio. Born March 18, 1977 in Dennison, Ohio, he was a son of Deanna Faye “Diane” (Jones) Kramer Striker with whom he had resided as her loving caregiver and the late Gary Dan Kramer.

Eric was a lifelong resident of Tuscarawas County who had worked for several area businesses. He was a man of faith who had attended Uhrichsville Church of the Nazarene in his younger years and loved studying his Bible. He had a heart of compassion for all who struggled with addiction, as he aspired to work with those in recovery. Eric enjoyed fishing and was an avid gamer, as well.

He leaves behind his wife of 23 years, Kimberly S. (Cannon) Kramer; daughters, Sierra (fiancé, Trent Leeper) Kramer and Shannon Kramer; grandchildren, Theo and Leo; sister, Tammy Jo Kramer; nephews, Tyler Kramer and Trevor Striker; stepdaughters, Brianna and Kaylee Miller; step granddaughters, Violet and Clover; Allyondra Famal who was like a daughter to him; a longtime dear friend and high school sweetheart, Carlene Howell; and a number of cousins, including Faith Hostetler with whom he had always been especially close. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Gary D. Kramer II and Neil Allan Kramer; his cousin, Liz Clingerman; and his best friend, Johnny Ridgway.

A 1:00 p.m. funeral will be held on Monday, July 28, at the R. K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. His family will receive callers at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Monday, prior to the service.
